OUR | OBJECTIVES |

Founded in 1999 by visionary educationists that saw the gap in low-cost private schools in the informal settlements in Nairobi, they laid down the pillars that have rolled out the association to reach out to many independent private schools nationwide.

ADVOCACY

This was the pillar of this association, as shared in the opening remarks, this was the main reason why KISA was formed

PARTNERSHIPS

This is one of the big goals we have been working on, looking for like-minded individuals, organizations and even companies are essential, apart from looking for support in our association, sharing our vision in Kenya and beyond is something we have done for many years and we are looking forward to doing even better now that in the past years. We have benefited from donations, training support and even upgrading of schools’ infrastructure and many others.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Scholarship program support is very important in bridging the gap to enable very needy children to receive the education that they want in their life. Lack of school fees for poor children, especially the bright ones in something that we address as KISA. We work with our member schools and partners to help support this program. As we pay for children’s school fees through thing programs, we also think of the capacity for schools to do their operations efficiently. Once we pay fees, this goes into the schools’ budget and will enable them to support their operations.

CAPACITY BUILDING

There is a lot of training that we have done and we continue doing to make sure we offer quality education to the needy and give quality support to our member schools, from training director on project management, financial management, good record keeping, quality leadership and many others, to training of teachers on quality teaching, proper handling of needy children, subjects inductions and many more. We want to stand out that we don’t just think of helping needy children but also making sure that there is quality management in the schools and financial sustainability. Quality teaching.
